Free Guidance, Mentorship and Networking for Emergency Medicine Doctors
The Kung Medics FRCEM Career Day is a free, interactive educational event for doctors who are considering, planning or actively preparing for the FRCEM examinations.
Preparing for FRCEM can feel overwhelming. Candidates may be unsure where to begin, which resources to use, how long to prepare, how to balance revision with clinical work, or what is expected in the written and OSCE components.
This event provides an opportunity to meet senior Emergency Medicine doctors, successful FRCEM candidates and experienced educators who can share practical guidance based on their own examination journeys.
Attendees will be able to ask questions, discuss their concerns, learn from colleagues working in different hospitals and develop a clearer, more realistic plan for their own FRCEM preparation.
This is not a full examination-preparation course. It is a structured guidance, mentorship and professional-development event designed to help doctors understand the FRCEM journey and prepare more effectively.

CPD information
This event has been designed as an educational and professional-development activity for doctors interested in the FRCEM examination pathway.
Attendees who participate in the educational sessions and complete the event evaluation will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the educational hours completed.
Participants may record the event within their personal CPD portfolio where the learning is relevant to their professional role, development needs and personal development plan.
The CPD value is self-assessed by each participant and remains subject to the requirements of their employer, educational supervisor, appraiser or responsible officer.
This event is independently organised by Kung Medics and is not advertised as RCEM-accredited or RCEM-endorsed CPD unless specifically confirmed otherwise.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Medical qualification
You must be a qualified doctor.

Relevant professional interest
You should have a genuine interest in Emergency Medicine and be considering or preparing for the FRCEM pathway.

Appropriate examination stage
Priority may be given to doctors who:

Hold MRCEM or are progressing through the relevant Emergency Medicine examination pathway;

Are actively preparing for an FRCEM examination; or
-
Intend to begin FRCEM preparation in the foreseeable future.

Professional conduct
Attendees must participate respectfully and maintain appropriate professional behaviour throughout the event.

Commitment to attend
As places are limited, candidates should book only if they genuinely intend to attend the full programme.

Accurate registration details
Applicants must provide accurate information regarding their current role, grade, hospital and examination stage.
Kung Medics reserves the right to request reasonable evidence of medical qualification, registration, employment or examination status where appropriate.
Free attendance and refundable reservation deposit
Attendance at the FRCEM Career Day is free.
However, because places are strictly limited, a £25 refundable reservation deposit is required at the time of booking to secure each place.
The deposit is intended to reduce non-attendance and ensure that places are reserved for candidates who genuinely plan to attend.
The £25 reservation deposit will be refunded to the original payment method after the attendee:
Refunds will normally be processed within 7–10 working days after the event.
The reservation deposit may be retained where a candidate:

Does not attend the event;
-
Cancels within seven days of the event;
-
Leaves substantially before the end of the programme without prior agreement; or
-
Fails to complete the required attendance registration.
Where exceptional circumstances prevent attendance, candidates should contact Kung Medics as early as possible. Any refund outside the standard terms will be considered at the organiser’s discretion.
Optional £25 event contribution
During booking, candidates will also have the option to make a voluntary £25 contribution toward the cost of organising and delivering the event.

Candidates who choose to contribute may pay a total of £50 at booking, consisting of:
Only the £25 reservation deposit will be refundable following attendance. The optional contribution is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed, except where the event is cancelled by Kung Medics.
Candidates who do not wish to make the optional contribution will pay only the £25 refundable reservation deposit.
Limited availability
Attendance is strictly limited to 50 candidates to preserve the interactive nature of the event and allow meaningful access to speakers and mentors.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility.
Once all places have been reserved, additional applicants may be added to a waiting list.
Important booking information
Each reserved place has significant educational and organisational value.
Candidates who are no longer able to attend should cancel their booking as early as possible so that the place can be offered to another doctor.
Kung Medics may contact registered candidates before the event to reconfirm attendance. Where confirmation is not received within the stated deadline, the place may be released to someone on the waiting list.
Bookings are personal and may not be transferred to another person without prior written approval from Kung Medics.
