Join our patient bank: volunteer for medical training in Manchester
Kung Medics trains doctors for postgraduate exams such as MRCS and MRCEM through hands-on clinical teaching. If you have a medical condition that doctors can learn to recognise, volunteering for our patient bank in Manchester helps future doctors and improves patient care.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ people and people of all ethnicities, religions and identities.
Accessibility
Our Manchester training centre currently has no lift or wheelchair access. We regret this limitation. Volunteers need to be able to use stairs safely.
What we offer

Who can volunteer
- People with medical conditions that can be detected on examination, such as heart murmurs, thyroid swelling or joint problems
- People in or near Manchester who can safely use stairs
- People who are comfortable sharing their condition confidentially with trainees under professional supervision
