MRCEM OSCE course: five days of live, exam-focused practice

Knowing Emergency Medicine is only half of passing the MRCEM OSCE. The other half is showing it under time pressure: structuring the station, verbalising your reasoning, communicating clearly and closing with a safe plan. Our MRCEM OSCE course is built around exactly that.

Over five live days, online or in the classroom in Greater Manchester, you attempt exam-style stations, watch other candidates tackle theirs and get direct feedback from OSCE experts on what to keep, what to fix and what an examiner is likely to look for. You leave with a repeatable approach rather than a stack of scripts.

Choose the date and format that suit you from the list below.

Why prepare for the MRCEM OSCE with Kung Medics

This is an active course, not a lecture series. Every candidate is encouraged to attempt stations, and every attempt is followed by practical feedback.

  • Taught by OSCE experts who focus on exam technique as well as clinical content.
  • Find the problems you can't see alone, such as weak structure, missed safety-critical points, time lost on low-value questions and an unstructured close.
  • Keep practising after the course with free MRCEM OSCE Pro Interactive Notes until your exam date: exam-style scenarios, key station approaches and common mistakes.
  • Attend the way that suits you, live online from anywhere or in person in Greater Manchester.

Course overview

The course takes you through a broad range of high-yield MRCEM OSCE themes, from history taking and clinical examination to resuscitation, trauma, paediatric emergencies, safeguarding, capacity and consent, and team-based leadership scenarios.

Live teaching on how each type of station works is combined with interactive practice. You attempt stations, discuss your approach and see how other candidates handle the same task. The faculty then break down what went well, what was missed and how the performance could be safer, clearer and better structured.

Across the five days the emphasis is on a method you can carry into any scenario: work out what the station is testing, gather focused information, prioritise findings, explain investigations and management, address the patient's concerns, safety-net and finish within the allocated time.

The station mix is reviewed regularly so teaching stays relevant to current MRCEM OSCE preparation. All scenarios are educational, exam-style stations written around Emergency Medicine competencies. They are not official or recalled RCEM examination stations, and the course is independent of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

You get intensive practice close to your exam, honest feedback on how you actually come across in a station and a clear method for each station type. Afterwards, free MRCEM OSCE Pro access lets you keep practising those approaches right up to exam day.

Can I attend the MRCEM OSCE course online or in person?
Both. The course runs live online and face-to-face in Greater Manchester. Each date in the dates list shows how and where it is delivered, so you can choose the option that suits you when you book. Online candidates still attempt stations live and receive feedback rather than watching recorded lectures.
Is this course endorsed by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine?
No. This is an independent MRCEM OSCE preparation course. It is not produced, endorsed or affiliated with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. We recommend you also review the current RCEM curriculum and relevant national guidelines as part of your preparation.

Will I be given scripts to memorise?

Is the course suitable for international medical graduates?
Yes. It suits international medical graduates who are unfamiliar with UK-style postgraduate OSCE examinations. Alongside clinical content, it focuses on the communication, professionalism, safety-netting and structure expected in UK Emergency Medicine stations.
